Jane vs. George of the Jungle?

The remarkable Jane Goodall, who has lived with and studied chimpanzees for most of her adult life, is still going strong despite the crushing odds against saving these most human-like of all creatures from extinction.

She was interviewed by George Stroumboulopoulos on The Hour last week where she admitted to being on the road nearly 300 days of the year, campaigning, teaching, and passing along her conservationist message.

Her particular pride and joy is a program called 'Roots and Shoots' which aims to instill in children worldwide a love for all things wild and free.

Now if I had to choose which of these two apes to save from extinction, I gotta say the little guy without the tie would be getting my vote.
